Recent study: Regular orgasms reduce prostate cancer
NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Men with regular orgasms - once a day - are less likely to develop prostate cancer, scientists found in the study. Regular ejaculation at long intervals reduces the risk of the disease.
Researchers at the Harvard Medical School said a new study was presented at the annual meeting of the Urological Association in May, which revealed the effect of regular orgasms on the expulsion of chemicals causing cancer prostate. Another explanation is that if sperm are cleaned regularly, new cells can grow and stop the accumulation of older cells that are more likely to develop cancer.
Prostate cancer
The prostate is a small glands located between the penis and the bladder of the man. Its primary function is to produce a thick white fluid mixed with the sperm produced by the testes, to produce semen.
The study, conducted at Harvard University, is the largest and latest study of the benefits of regular orgasms in reducing the risk of prostate cancer. The researchers found that men aged 20 to 40 years and about 21 regular orgasms throughout the month had a 22 percent lower risk of prostate cancer than men who had orgasms four to seven times a month.
About 32,000 healthy men were studied for 18 years of whom 3839 were diagnosed with prostate cancer. When they did a questionnaire, they found that individuals who had regular orgasms reduced the risk of prostate cancer.
The results of the survey were adjusted to take into consideration a range of factors such as diet, healthy lifestyle, and family history of prostate cancer in a family member.
"The results of this study are very encouraging and more research needs to be done to bring about specific prostate changes caused by ejaculation to understand how to reduce the risk of prostate cancer," Dr. Jennifer Reid of Harvard Medical School recalls.
Cancer research reports that the International Conference on International Cancer reported that more than 1.1 million prostate cancer cases were registered, about 8% of them new cases of prostate cancer.
Ways to prevent prostate cancer:
Exercise:
Many studies confirm that exercise increases body immunity. It is one of the best ways to improve blood circulation and control blood pressure levels.
Eat ginger:
It is a powerful herb that possesses antifungal and inflammatory properties. When ingested ginger regulates the spread of cancer cells and thus helps in the treatment of prostate cancer. Ginger is recommended for patients who are undergoing chemotherapy to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy such as vomiting and nausea.
pomegranate :
The Romans are a rich source of antioxidants and are described as a miraculous fruit. In a study of 46 individuals, researchers found that eating 8 ounces of the juice of the Romans for 15 months reduces the growth of cancer cells. The researchers suggest that there is a substance called ellagitannins, which is one of the powerful antioxidants found in the Romans and aimed at killing cancer cells.
Pumpkin seeds:
Pumpkin seeds act as a good diuretic and are used to treat a wide range of diseases affecting the prostate gland and urinary bladder. Pumpkin seeds contain a high amount of zinc that strengthens the immune system and in turn helps to recover from prostate cancer.
Legumes:
Legumes such as beans, peanuts and lentils all contain an active vegetarian biology known as phytoestrogens and are plant estrogen. It may contain anti-cancer properties and inhibit the growth of cancer cells in the prostate.
The researchers found that the incidence of prostate disease among those who eat soybeans increased by up to 30%. When a diet containing soybeans and others dimming the wheat was found, those who ate soybeans had a lower rate of prostate cancer than others.
Foods rich in vitamin D:
It has been scientifically proven that eating a large amount of vitamin D can help prevent prostate cancer. It is not only preventative but is a natural cure for prostate cancer. You can get the sun's vitamin from various foods to the health of the body
Green tea :
It has been in Asian heritage for thousands of years. It is often the reason why prostate disease is not spread in Asia as compared to the rates of infection in the United States. All ingredients of green tea, such as catechins and pectin, which have health effects, are currently being studied. There are polyphenols found in green tea that prevent prostate cancer.
Obtain omega-3 fatty acids:
Omega-3 fatty acids are found in fish, all of which help prevent prostate cancer.
In a study in Sweden, 6,272 men aged 30 years found that those who ate fish only once or twice were more likely to develop prostate cancer than those who consumed large amounts of fish in their diet. So try to eat fatty fish such as salmon, herring, mackerel and sardines.
